Fixed Position 2013-14

Arts Council & British Council Artist's International Development Fund trip to the PETAR caves near to São Paulo, one of the largest concentrations of limestone caves in the world. The tactile sensory experience of being in the caves channelled thinking about certainty of position, fixity and the way that we are defined by our edges. The further into the, the more profound the darkness and disorientation, the less certain of ones own form. The program for the show included a performance choreographed by Jack Tan and a talk by Geologist Professor Andrew Hurst.
